Matt Riley | Artist • Producer • Topliner
Perth born Matt Riley, has earned his stripes in the EDM world under the name “Wasteland”. Gaining attention from the likes of Avicii to Martin Garrix and David Guetta, his music has been played heard across mainstages worldwide by the most prolific dance music events including Tomorrowland and Coachella.
Soon after, Matt decided to triple his musical output, where he changed direction with his project artist “Wasteland”, signing to Central Station Records in Australia. Here he made way for more pop orientated releases, launching a new secret underground project called Blvck Karibou. Producing club records from his own label The Herd, he then birthed his new pop writing outfit Cressbrook with multi instrumentalist Justin Martins.
Recently, both his pop releases have amassed half a million views on multiple platforms, and his notable self-directed video clips achieving viral notoriety.
2019 found him venturing into a new world of writing and producing for other artists. Together with his writing partner Justin, they have solidified 15 tracks awaiting release for larger artists in the pop/edm world, and that’s just in the first three months of 2019 alone!
The value in Matt’s music skills give him the ability to produce and songwrite simultaneously, which have proved to be a monumental asset in both his own artist projects and also studio sessions and writing camps he’s been involved with.
